Time flies, doesn’t it? Jeez. My sports calendar will soon be turning from hockey to baseball pretty much full-time; it’s a shame that when I look at the Nats, I see the Caps all over again. *sigh* The Wizards’ season pretty much went up in smoke this week with both Caron Butler and Gilbert Arenas getting seriously hurt. The team hasn’t seen that much bad luck in a while, certainly not since Jordan was canned (Michael, not Eddie, since Eddie’s still here).
In any case, April’s busy month for me — lots of birthdays in the family. One was yesterday (happy birthday, Sandy!), and a couple more in a couple of weeks. Got to check out the Caps/Panthers game and saw something really rare — an Olaf Kolzig shutout, his first in three years. I really need to get to more games next year.
Well, I did get to finish Legacy of the Force: Exile a few weeks back. Wasn’t in a rush to post a review, as it wasn’t much to write home about. Not that it was bad, mind you, but just not terribly memorable or noteworthy. It’s still plain that Aaron Allston’s a pretty good writer, though — a few funny parts in the book (though not as many as his usual SW work) and the action managed to be fairly interesting.
More later, maybe.
