… and I also could use a vacation, but that’s another topic for another day. Got a chance to read the latest in Star Wars’ Legacy of the Force series, Sacrifice, by Karen Traviss. Decent enough book with the expected once-a-year-or-so Big Eventâ„¢. I’ll spare you the spoiler, but as I’ve been relatively unplugged from spoiler talk about the books in recent years, the event had the desired effect for me. Some of the book’s pacing could use a little work (very minor critique here), but overall I found it an engaging novel.
Just picked up the new Tomb Raider game, Anniversary, which I guess is a remake of the original. I’m probably one of the few people out there who’s never played the original game (I totally wasn’t into video games from high school through college, back when the original Playstation was big), but I enjoyed Legend quite a bit and the same design house that did that one has done Anniversary. I’m looking forward to playing it. In the meantime, I’m still hooked on 1701 A.D. and, now, MLB 07: The Show.
Looking for new anime to check out; Towards the Terra looks interesting. I understand that this series is a remake of a movie from a while back, but I’ve not seen that, so I’m going in fresh.
