Got to play some golf this weekend at the beautiful Glenn Dale Golf Club in Glenn Dale, MD (while their web site leaves something to be desired, the course is great). Was my first 18-hole course. Shot a horrible score, but I had quite a bit of fun and got to hang out with a buddy that I don’t get to see too often. The short game around the green was decent, my putting wasn’t (though I didn’t particularly embarass myself), and my mid range was a little off. (Stupid rescue iron — I still haven’t gotten a good feel for it compared to normal long irons. Will probably replace it with a traditional 4 iron somewhere along the line.)
Probably will get out to Sligo Creek next; was recommended as a bit easier for beginners to handle. We’ll see what’s up.
